The Tech Collegian is the official newspaper of West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech). The student-run publication is printed weekly during the academic year on Tuesday’s by the Beckley Register Herald. The Tech Collegian office is housed in the basement of Old Main.
Student writers either hold paid positions or are enrolled in one of two journalism courses, Journalism 101 or 304. A variety of opportunities, other than writing, exists for staff members as well. For more information on student employment, please contact the editor.
Student contributions as well as faculty, administration, and community input are always welcome. Deadlines are the Thursday prior to publication (see publication schedule under advertising information). The editor retains authority on all content decisions. The Tech Collegian strives to remain an unbiased agent of campus communications through the publication of opinion contributions and letters to the editor (see opinion policy).
